Readers' 5 responseammy! I've heard about finasteride and started trying it but I'm still skeptical. Could it be that my hair is too big? I've tried minoxidil and clomid and the only difference is that I'm getting a lot of dead skin, no visible signs of baldness, and no receding hairline. Ingredients

Finasteride 1 mg is a synthetic version of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Directions

1 - Take 1 tablet of Proscar 5 Tablet with water. Continue taking the tablet for 2 weeks before intercourse. If you stop taking the tablet, hair loss may resume.

2 - If you are using this medication after anagen (resting) phase, then take the tablet about 1 hour before sexual activity. Avoid taking the tablet more than 30 minutes before engaging in sexual activity. Do not take this medication more often than once every 24 hours as directed by your doctor.

3 - If you are elderly, pregnant or breast-feeding, or thought to be breast-feeding, do not take the tablet for more than 14 days. For best results, take the tablet at the same time each day.

4 - Keep taking this medication even if you feel well, do not stop taking it, and talk to your doctor if your symptoms do not improve.

Haines and his wife, Linda, were taking Proscar to treat a rare form of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Haines was a family doctor for decades and had done some research on the condition. He had been a member of the Proscar (finasteride) and the Propecia (finasteride and minoxidil) families. He was also a family doctor in both finasteride and Propecia, but he was concerned that he would develop some side effects during the course of the drug, such as:

• Decreased sex drive
• Breast enlargement, breast tenderness, and pain
• Decreased libido and performance
• Increased anxiety, fear of losing weight
• Increased risk of breast cancer
• Increased risk of developing prostate cancer

The Proscar (finasteride) had been in the family for a number of years but Haines was concerned that he might develop these problems early on, especially during the course of the drug. Haines had been using Proscar at a time when the drug was not being used in children and men with BPH. He was concerned that if he took Proscar during his first menstrual period, it could increase the risk of the condition and possibly also interfere with sexual functioning, which Haines thought would be possible with the drug.

Haines and his wife, Linda, decided to take Proscar with the advice of their doctor, Dr. John L. Follins, MD, and they had been taking it for years. After taking Proscar for a few months, Haines began noticing some changes in his overall health, and he decided to use Proscar in combination with Minoxidil (Rogaine) for the first time.

Haines was concerned about the side effects. While taking Proscar, he noticed significant improvements in his sex drive. This led to more frequent urination and difficulty getting an erection. He also noticed that he and Linda were very active, with the effect occurring even more often when he took the drug during his third trimester.

Haines had also noticed that he was not able to keep up with his girlfriend, who was having trouble with her partner, because of her decreased libido and the increased risk of breast cancer.

The results of Proscar's use showed that he had less of the side effects than the men taking the drug. Haines said that he thought the Proscar was very safe.

After his wife's breast cancer diagnosis, Haines and Linda had been having problems with the condition for several months and decided to try taking Proscar instead. He had been taking the drug for several years and had been using Proscar for the last two months. Haines said that he felt great improvements in his sexual function, but it was becoming very difficult to keep up with his girlfriend. He also felt that he was becoming more active and the amount of time he had to do so was decreasing.

The results showed that Proscar was effective for treating BPH, but it was not for the long term. Haines said that he would be interested to know what other treatments might be taken to treat this condition.

He had taken Proscar for decades and had had many problems during his time in the Proscar family. He had heard that the drug caused hair loss and hair loss in men.
